How to Create Stationery From Photos

Personalized stationery, whether it is used for business or personal communication, adds a nice touch to your letters. Adding pictures to your stationery in your word processing software is another way to further personalize the paper you use. The picture can be of anything from a nice family portrait to a business photo that depicts the type of business you are in, or your actual business. Once you have added the picture to your stationery, you can have it printed and used as your business letterhead.

      Open the software you use to produce letters.

      Click "Insert" from the navigation bar and select "Picture" from the drop-down menu. The program will take you to the folder on your computer's hard drive where your photos are contained.

      Click the photo you want to use for your personalized stationery, and click "OK" in the bottom-right corner of the window to place the picture onto the document.

      Click and hold the guide handles that are on the perimeter of the picture. You can position the picture in any of the corners of your paper or make the picture the same size of the paper and use it as a watermark on the page. Should you select to use it full size on the page, click "Properties" and adjust the "Opacity" of the picture. This will fade the picture and you can adjust it to match your personal choice.

      Click "File" and select "Save as" to name your new page and save it your hard drive to be used when you compose letters in the future.
