Picture Wall
A picture wall enables you to showcase multiple pictures within one small area. One interesting area to place pictures is the staircase. Place the pictures parallel to the floor, rather than the line of the staircase, for a cohesive appearance.
A long hallway also makes an appropriate area for a picture wall. Group together pictures of the family or vacation photos, and use several large frames with mulitple slots for pictures.
Photo Collage
A photo collage allows you to highlight the best portions of the pictures while discarding blank spaces or telephone wires. Once you gather and make copies of the digital pictures for your collage, examine it with a critical eye. You are looking for the sections of the pictures that stand out and please you most, whether it is the smile on your child's face or the way the sunset silhouettes the line of the surfer. Cut the sections in squares, circles and triangles, and paste them to a large cardboard before inserting them into the frame.
Gallery Style
A gallery wall contains a uniform set of pictures that runs even with your eye line. These pictures are similar in size and are encased in similar frames to create a uniform look. Normally indirect lighting bounces off the pictures from across the wall or directly above. This creates a formal presentation within the picture area as it highlights the photographs as artwork. Place your best pictures in a gallery style display.
Miscellaneous
When you make your own digital coffee book, you have the option of adding one picture per page or 20. Group the pictures based on activities, vacations, or scenes. Write captions to remember the feelings that led to the photograph.
One other option includes clipping photographs to a wire string and changing the pictures often. This keeps the display fresh and provides a constant venue for your new photos.
