Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean and service your equipment and stock to make it more presentable. If a piece of your equipment is not working 100 percent correctly, you may know how to work around its faults, but potential buyers may not want to. If you can fix it yourself, do so. If you need to hire someone to fix it, weigh the cost of the repair against the increased price you may receive.
Advertise through specialty magazines or websites, at local colleges that have art programs or local camera or painting clubs. At all of these places you may find people who are interested in your equipment and understand its value.
Prepare a detailed list of everything you are selling and what it is used for. Be clear, concise and specific.
Take pictures of the items you are selling and include them with your ad. Make sure the pictures accurately reflect the items and their quality.
