How to Add a Virtual Frame to Your Photograph

If you were to display your favorite picture in your home, you would likely place the picture in a frame that would complement the original picture. Before displaying your pictures on your website or other online gallery, decorate them by placing them in a "virtual frame." If you have photo editing software, you can use the program's templates to frame your photos. You can also download any of several programs that have virtual frame templates.

Instructions

  Download and install a virtual frame program such as "IE Picture Framer" or "Photo Frame Show." Many are free or inexpensive shareware. Launch the program.

  Click "Upload" from the navigation bar in the software. The actual wording may be slightly different from program to program, but the step is the same. Select the picture you want to use and click "OK."

  Look through the frame templates included with the software. Select one of them. Click on the "Preview" button to see how the frame will look with the picture you uploaded.

  Go to "File" and in the drop-down menu, click "Save as." Give your creation a name and click "OK" to save your framed photo.
