How to Troubleshoot an Olympus Camedia Master 2.0

Olympus Camedia Master 2 is a free photo editing and organizer software offered by camera manufacturer Olympus. According to Olympus, the software is designed to help you "organize, edit and share you images and movies." The software will run on computers using Windows 2000 Professional, XP Home, XP Professional, Vista and Mac OS X 10.3 or later. The software also supports USB-equipped Olympus digital cameras, according to the company's website.

Instructions

      Connect your Olympus camera to your computer using a USB cable. The software should automatically open up and start to import your pictures from your camera to your computer. If the software does not, open the it manually, click the "Transfer" icon in the toolbar and select "From Camera" to begin the download process.

      Click on a photo in the "Image Browser," then click on the "Edit" icon located in the program's toolbar and the program should enter the "Image Edit Mode." If the image does not open in to the editor, right-click on the image in the "Image Browser" and select "Properties"; identify the folder containing the image file and reconnect the image to the thumbnail in the "Image Browser."

      Re-install the program from the Olympus website (see References) should the program becomes unresponsive or stop working.
