Instructions
Using an Online Template
Sort through your photos of the "wanted" individual to find the perfect one for a poster. Think about what your friend will be "wanted" for and let that dictate the kind of picture you use.
Choose a poster template from a site like Wanted5 or TrixiePixGraphics to make your poster.
Add information and a physical description of your wanted friend to the website template as prompted.
Upload the photo you've chosen.
Enter your billing and shipping information to order the poster.
Download the poster immediately, if possible. Otherwise you'll have to wait for your poster in the mail.
Designing your Poster
Sort through your photos of the "wanted" individual to find the perfect one for a poster. Think about what your friend will be "wanted" for and let that dictate the kind of picture you use.
Open Adobe Photoshop or another photo editing program that allows you to add layers and graphics to your pictures.
Follow a template from a website with paid posters, or actual FBI or old west posters. Add the photo to the correct spot on the page, then create the "Wanted!" text above it in an old west or police-style font. Copperplate and Gloucester MT are good old west fonts, while Rockwell Extra Bold and Impact could serve you well on an FBI poster.
Create text boxes for the person's name, aliases, crime, date of birth, occupation, height, weight, build, nationality and identifying marks under the photo. Create a box beneath all of those characteristics for the "Remarks" or "Caution" section to say something about why this person is so dangerous and what to do if you locate him.
Re-size the poster to the exact size you want to print. Download a parchment-style background if your poster is in the "old west" style. See the Resources for background downloads.
Print your poster.
