Windows Movie Maker
Click the start button on the bottom left corner of your desktop, select programs and click "Windows Movie Maker."
Click "Import Media" that is located in the navigation bar, from the new window that opens up locate the photos you want to use in your slide show. Open the folder, press and hold "CTRL" and "A" to select all the photos, click "Import" and the photos will copy into the program.
Arrange the photos into the order in which you want them to appear.
Click "Transitions" in the navigation bar and select from the various choices you have to change from picture to picture. Vary the different transitions for each picture to add some creativity to your show.
Click "Audio" in the navigation bar and select some music from your music library or from the folder of sample music. Try to select music that complements the pictures you are showing, and change the music as the theme of the pictures change.
Click "Finish Movie" to name and save your slide show.
iMovie
Click "iMovie" on the docking bar of your Mac computer.
Click "iPhoto" icon to locate and identify the pictures you want to add to your slide show. Open the folder, select the pictures you want to use in the slide show and drag them into the program.
Arrange the pictures into the order in which you want them to appear.
Click "Transitions" to set up the way the photos will change from one to another, use a variety of transitions to keep the show interesting.
Click "iTunes" to add music to your slide show from your music library. Use music that complements the pictures you are showing. Name and save your slide show to your computer for future viewing.
