Things You'll Need
Instructions
Mount the main Nikon speedlight to the Nikon D80 hot shoe on top of the camera.
Set the main Nikon speedlight to "Master" mode. The method of doing this will vary depending on the speedlight. Consult the speedlight manual for specific instructions.
Set the second speedlight to "Wireless Remote" mode. The method of doing this will vary depending on the speedlight. Consult the speedlight manual for specific instructions.
Set any additional speedlights to "Wireless Remote" mode.
Mount the slave speedlights--those set to "Wireless Remote"--to the plastic stands provided and set them on a stable surface pointing toward the subject. If you are using a two-light system, position the camera and master speedlight directly in front of the subject and the slave speedlight to the left or right at approximately a 45-degree angle. For a three-light system, position one slave speedlight on each side of the subject at a 45-degree angle.
Make sure all lights are set to the "On" mode.
Take a picture. If set up properly, all speedlights will go off simultaneously.
