Click the program icon to open Microsoft Digital Image 10 on your desktop or laptop computer.
Click "File," then "Open" in the navigation bar across the top of the screen, and select the picture you want to work on. Once the picture opens, click "Common tasks" in the top-left corner of the program window, then click "Auto fixes" to adjust the contrast, color and exposure level of the photo you are working on.
Click "Touchup" in the navigation bar across the top of the window, and select "Fix red eye" from the drop-down menu. Position your computer mouse cursor over the eye in the picture that needs fixing, and left-click the mouse. The program will remove the red eye.
Save your work by clicking "File," then "Save as." It is always a good idea to save any photo you have edited as a separate file, so you should give it a new name. You can simply add the letter "E" at the end of the file name to indicate the image has been edited, or you can choose to give it an entirely new name. Click "OK" to save and close the file.
