How to Open JPG Files in Adobe Camera Raw CS2

Adobe's Camera Raw editor is a powerful tool for any photographer. It allows them to make quick changes on the fly or even apply changes to a batch of images without much effort. Camera Raw editor is the default editing tool for RAW camera data. But ".jpeg" files can also be opened with Camera Raw, with the software achieving the same processing power.

  Open Adobe Photoshop, then select "Open" from the "File" menu. This will display the file dialogue box.

  Select your JPG file by clicking on it. At the bottom of the dialogue box, you will see two drop-down menus. From the drop-down menu marked "Format," select "Camera Raw."

  Click "Open" to open your JPG image in the Camera Raw editor. You may see an error message regarding the size of your image file and be required to click "OK" to continue. This happens on smaller files that are not large enough to benefit from adjustment in the Camera Raw tool.
