How to Save a Photo Collage As a Jpeg

There are a number of different programs available to produce photo collages. Whether you are using Adobe's Photoshop or an online program like Smilebox or Snapfish, once you have completed your collage you are going to want to save it. One the most popular formats for saving digital images is to use a JPEG file format. JPEG is an acronym for the "Joint Photographic Experts Group" who created the format that has varying degrees of quality settings you select for your saved image.

     Complete your collage then click "File" in the navigation bar of the program you are using.

     Select "Save As" from the drop-down menu that will appear.

     Select "JPEG" from the menu box, and select the quality setting you want for your collage. JPEGs can be saved at a quality setting from 1 to 12. To retain the most information, a setting between 9 and 12 will create a file that will be suitable for printing.

     Name your collage and click "Save" to save and close your new collage.
