Things You'll Need
Instructions
Unpack and connect the Epson V700 to you home PC or laptop. Install the included software to your home computer. Turn on the Epson V700 and make sure your computer has located the new device.
Prepare your slides for scanning. Even if you have stored your slides in archival sleeves, you should still clean them gently with an anti-static cloth. The Epson V700 is equipped with a Digital ICE program to remove scratches and dust, but it is always a good practice to remove as much dust as possible prior to the scan. This cloth will remove any dust from your slide and help prevent dust from collecting on the slides surface during the scanning process.
Insert your photo slides into the 12-slide carrier included with the Epson V700 scanner. Place the slide carrier on the flatbed platen.
Start the scan by either pressing the large start button located on the front panel of the scanner itself, or you can start the scan through the Epson Scanning software included with the scanner. Scanning with the software allows you to choose the dpi settings you wish to scan at, and to manually select the folder that the scanned image will be saved to.
