Things You'll Need
Instructions
Assemble the photos for your slide show in one file on your computer.
Open the software program and, under "File," select "New Project." Select the file with the pictures you have chosen. The pictures will appear in a workspace area.
Select the first picture and either drag it into the time line at the bottom of the page or click "add" and the picture will be moved there automatically. Repeat this until all the pictures you have selected are in the line.
Look for the "Transition" tab and click on it. Choose a transition and drag it to the place where you want the effect to be. Some programs have default settings that you may want to use at first.
Go to the "Themes" tab and select how you would like the photos displayed in the slide show. Experiment with different themes to see which one suits you.
Open "File" and save the project by clicking on "Save As" and giving it a name. This will make it possible for you to reopen and edit the slide show and republish it with the changes.
Click on the "Publish " tab when you are finished and follow the directions. An "swf" file will be created which is the flash format. An "html" file also will be created along with document and info files. These files are saved in a default output folder or one that you have designated.
Copy the html code to the place on your web page where you wish the slideshow to appear. The code is usually found under the preview of the show in the Firefox or Internet Explorer document in you output folder.
Open the :ftp" file for your web page. Copy all the files in the output folder related to the slide show into the "ftp" file. The software program you bought may do this directly through an upload command.
View the slide show on your web page and use that page as a link in e-mails and your blog to share it with others.
