How to Make a Calendar Using Photos

Photo calendars let you and your loved ones revisit memories throughout the year. Each month's page displays one or more photos, accompanied by decorative designs that you choose. Newlyweds can create a calendar of their wedding. Parents can create calendars displaying their children and family events. Other popular calendar themes include holidays, vacations, pets and hobbies. Photo calendars make a great personal gift for families and friends.

  Select a place to create your photo calendar. Popular online retailers include Shutterfly and Snapfish. The photo departments at retailers such as Walmart and Walgreens also let you make photo calendars. Create an account on the website you select.

  Select digital photos to include in your calendar. Some photo calendar designs can incorporate several photos on a single page. You will need at least 12 images, plus more for the cover or multi-image display pages. Copy these photos to a new folder on your computer. This makes the photos easier to locate for uploading.

  Upload your digital photos to the website you will be using for your calendar. The website will have individual instructions for this step. This stores your photos on the website, allowing you to work with them online.

  Choose a calendar design. If you have a specific theme for your calendar, select an overall design relating to your theme. Even with a design selected, you can usually change elements (such as fonts and colors) for individual months.

  Add photos to each month's design. You might arrange the photos chronologically or by theme. For example, holiday photos in the month of the holiday.

  Finalize your calendar. Preview the whole calendar. Carefully review it to make sure there are no errors. Submit your payment and order. Wait for its arrival by mail or in the retail store.
