Select a website to assemble and print your memory book. A variety of sites offer this service, each providing its own selection of layouts, customization and printing options. Good places to start are MixBook.com, Shutterfly.com and MemoryPress.FamilyLearn.com.
Prepare your photos for the memory book. Most sites will allow you to crop and resize your pictures using their online tools. However, if you want to render your pictures in black and white or sepia or use other special effects, you may need to do this in a separate photo editing program. Edit the photos as desired and save the new creation with a different name to preserve the original.
Upload your collection of digital photos to the selected site. Select pictures that adhere to a theme for a cohesive memory book that tells a story. Your book may focus on a single event such as a special Christmas or birthday celebration, or a special person as in the case of a baby book.
Drag and drop your photos into the layout provided by the web site. Most sites offer a wide range of layout options as well as colorful backgrounds and embellishments.
Add captions or short paragraphs throughout. While not all photos will need a caption, adding some text here and there can help viewers to better understand what's going on in the pictures. Even though it may be obvious to you, keep in mind that this photo book may be passed down several generations to people who don't personally know the relatives featured in the pictures.
Proofread your finished creation before sending it to print. Double check the spelling in all captions and look closely at the photos to make sure you didn't crop out an important feature. When you're satisfied with the finished book, send it to print and order the desired number of copies.
