The Nikon MC-22 is a remote cable that allows you to connect your camera to a shutter release mechanism, such as a remote control. This cable has a 10-pin connector that connects to the front of the camera body and a three-pin connector at the other end, which can be inserted into a shutter release or remote control for the camera.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the cover for the 10-pin connection on the front of the camera body. This will be protected by a rubber stopper. Remove the round rubber stopper to expose the connection and pins.

    • 2

Insert the round end of the cable into the round 10-pin connection on the front of the camera. Make sure that the pins are aligned and do not force the connection or the pins may bend. Check to make sure this connection is secure, with no gaps.

    • 3

Insert the three-colored pin connections into the corresponding colored pin connections on your accessory. The MC-22 can be used directly with a remote control device or it can be connected to an extension cord that is then connected to a remote control.
