Things You'll Need
Instructions
Open your image using your graphics software, such as Adobe Photoshop. This can usually be done by opening the software, then selecting "Open" from the file menu and navigating to your image file.
Adjust your image. If the image is very dark or needs to be clearer, apply these adjustments before resizing the image. Programs such as Photoshop or GIMP offer a variety of ways to accomplish these tasks.
Open the image resizing options. This will bring up a menu of choices for image resizing. The interpolation options should also be on this menu. Programs like Photoshop offer several different resizing algorithms for interpolation. Options such as Bicubic, Bicubic Smooth, and Nearest Neighbor are all different algorithms the program will use to fill in missing pixel data when the image is resized. Select an algorithm, then enter the desired size of your photo in the dimensions box. Click "OK."
Apply filters--such as sharpening or color correction--to the resized image, if necessary.
