Things You'll Need
Instructions
Wash your Cricut cutting mat with dish soap to remove as much of the previously glued surface as possible.
Remove the translucent mat cover from the surface of your cutting mat. This cover protects the mat when not in use. You must remove it before applying a new layer of adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of glue evenly across the mat with the Zig glue pen. The Zig glue pen has a large, thick tip for easy application and coverage. Apply the glue in horizontal strips from left to right. Move across the mat with even strokes. Once you have applied a layer horizontally across the mat, flip the mat a quarter turn and apply another layer of glue over the surface of the mat. This second pass ensures that you have covered the entire mat surface.
Let the mat sit overnight without the mat cover. In the morning the glue will be dry. You can use the mat immediately or apply the mat cover until you are ready to use the mat.
