How to Create Morphing Pictures

Morphing two or more pictures into one can present a unique view of the world, although clearly not realistic. Some businesses and magazines often use morphing in their photographs. It is important that you indicate that your photograph has been altered so as not to disturb viewers.

Instructions

      Download Sqirlz Morph (see Resources below). Unzip and install the program, following the on-screen wizard, to your computer.

      Open your two photographs in Photoshop. Save a duplicate of each by selecting ̶0;File̶1; and ̶0;Save As̶1; to give each of the photographs a new name, so that your original photographs will remain unchanged.

      Close your photographs and launch the Sqirlz program.

      Click ̶0;Start,̶1; ̶0;Programs,̶1; ̶0;Sqirlz Morph̶1; and ̶0;Sqirlz Morph.̶1;

      Open a copy of each of your photographs in Sqirlz Morph by selecting ̶0;File̶1; and ̶0;Open.̶1; Select the appropriate files and click ̶0;Open.̶1;

      Click on the green plus (+) sign on the left-hand side of the screen.

      Right-click on one of the photographs to create control points. The control points should be similar in both photographs. For faces, it would be the eyes, lips and nose.

      Select the black arrow on the left side of the screen.

      Drag the control points from the first photograph to the second photograph.

      Use the red minus (-) button if you find that you have too many control points.

      Click ̶0;Morph,̶1; ̶0;File Sequence̶1; and ̶0;Save.̶1; Choose the location you want your pictures saved in, and enter a file name. Click ̶0;Save.̶1;
