Frame
Framing your photo image board is possible, but since the foam board is fairly thick a professional framing job can be costly. Save your cash and create a frame for your photo image poster board by first hanging it onto the wall using double-sided adhesive made for wall-mounting artwork. Measure and cut pieces of wood that fit the dimensions of the poster board, angling the edges for sleek intersection with one another. You may paint or stain the pieces of wood prior to putting your frame together if you wish. Simply tack the finished pieces directly onto the wall using small nails.
Cut and Display
Large photo images on poster boards are the perfect medium for cutting and displaying in sections. Scenery images work best; abstracts work well, too. Lay your poster board on a flat surface safe for cutting. Measure the board and divide it equally into three or more pieces, Use a carpet cutter with a new, sharp blade and cleanly slice the image into sections. Trim any excess with small, sharp scissors. Display the pieces in appropriate order, leaving an equal distance between each. You may opt to frame each piece or leave them unframed, simply affixing them to the wall.
It's Elementary
Have your school-aged children use photo imaging onto poster board to enhance their school science projects or other school projects. Transfer images that relate to the project onto the poster board and set the board on an easel for display and project presentation. This works much better than traditional flimsy poster paper, and the transfered imaging will certainly get high marks from the teacher. Students can transfer the images themselves on their home or school computers and have them printed onto poster board for pick up at their local photo printing or copying center.
