Determine the GVWR rating and trailer tongue rating are for your vehicle as well as the total weight of your boat and trailer in addition to the trailers tongue weight. Do not exceed these ratings.
Back truck up to boat trailer' s hitch tongue.
Lower boat with third wheel crank until the tongue is fully lowered onto hitch. Close and pin (if equipped with pin) the tongue lock.
Attached trailer wiring harness and verify all trailer lights (and brakes if electric) are functioning properly.
After getting underway ensure trailer brakes are working.
While driving do not exceed the speed limit, allow extra time to stop and take turns wide enough to clear curbs, etc. with the trailer and boat.
