Instructions

    • 1

Sort through photographs you have or take new pictures to use on your photo handbag. Pick pictures that are clearly focused and bold enough to be easy to see from a distance. Pick the number of photos, typically one to five pictures, you'll use on the handbag.

    • 2

Choose the style of handbag you want. Popular styles include a square tote bag with long handles or a small rectangular handbag with a short handle. Then purchase or sew a canvas handbag. Choose fabric or a bag in a light color so photos will be easily visible when printed onto it.

    • 3

Arrange the photographs on the bag in whatever design you want. You may group the photos together, arrange them randomly, or line them up in a precise style. Some people prefer just one large photo and others prefer an assortment of photos. Make a color copy of each photo and tape them to the handbag in the place you want them.

    • 4

Use a home computer and a printer equipped to make copies onto fabric to copy the photos onto the handbag. Or another choice is to take the canvas bag to a print shop such as Kinkos and request that they color copy the photos onto the handbag.

Sew a handbag by cutting the fabric to the size you desire, turn the two sides inside out and pin together with straight pins. Then sew the seams together and iron the bag to remove any wrinkles from the fabric. Sew on fabric handles; sew on a decorative handle in gold or silver for a dressier bag.
