How to Make Photo Postcards

If you have photographs from your last vacation or even great photos of your kids that you want to share with friends and family, making it into a postcard is an inexpensive and creative way to share them. There is almost nothing to making a postcard from a photograph. As hard as this may be to believe, a simple photograph is almost a postcard from the beginning.

  • Photograph
  • Printer
  • Photo paper
  • Permanent marker
  • Ruler
  • Postcard stamp

Instructions

  1. Make Photo Postcards

    • 1

      Start with a photograph that measures 4-x-6 inches. If you already have one, you're set. If it's stored on your computer, print it out on photo paper so it measures 4-x-6 inches.

      Turn the photograph over so the white side is facing up.

      Measure the half-way point of the photograph from side to side. Draw a vertical line with the permanent marker at the half-way point of the photograph.

      Write your note on the left side of the postcard and write the address of your recipient on the right side of the postcard.

      Affix a postcard stamp in the upper right corner.

    • 6

      Mail the postcard.
