Register for an account with storybookcreation.com. Digital story books can be created on the site. They also offer free classes on how to write digital stories, from basic to advanced level. Other sites provide facilities to write digital story books online.
Write down your basic ideas for the story on a single piece of A4 paper or in a notepad on your computer. At this stage you will only list the main ideas for the story. Stories in any form tend to be based around a central theme or subject.
Create a storyboard for the implementation using paper or graphics software. This shows how the book will look in digital form, and includes items readers will see in the form of pictures and the text surrounding those pictures forming the actual story.
Have your work peer reviewed by someone. As you are writing your story, you may want to discuss ideas and the way it is developing with someone else. This may improve the work and provide you with further ideas to develop your story.
Use the online site editor or local software to create your story. If it's an online site, you can upload or save your information to the site, but save a draft copy offline in case anything unexpected happens. If you are producing your work offline, it can be composed using a word document and then converted to PDF once it is finished.
Add graphics, audio and images to make your digital story book come alive. If your digital story book is intended to be interactive for internet use only you may wish to add special effects and other things to spice up the content.
