How to Flip a Page in a One-Handed Book

One-handed reading devices have a few purposes. They keep your book open, saving the page. They allow you to place your book down on a flat surface while keeping it open, freeing up both hands while you read. Where no flat surface is available, they allow you hold the book up for reading with the use of only one hand.

Instructions

    • 1

Place your right index finger on the top right hand corner of the right page. Press down lightly on the corner of the page and pull your finger towards the center of the book, separating the pages.

    • 2

Quickly roll your finger under the current page.

    • 3

Lift your index finger and bring the page with it. The plastic covering from the one-handed book device will move to allow you to lift the page.

    • 4

Drag the page along the underside of the clear plastic opener until it is completely turned and flat on the left side of the book.

    • 5

Remove your finger from underneath the one-handed book device. The device will begin placing pressure on the book, keeping it open on the new page.
