How to Write Your Own Anniversary Photo Book

With so many easy-to-use tools on the Internet and one-man-publishing companies, nothing should stop you from making your own anniversary photo book. A number of print-on-demand companies, such as Blurb and Lulu, also offer to print your anniversary photo books. Writing you own anniversary book is an easy process and you do not need professional editing or writing knowledge. The best thing in publishing an anniversary book with a print-on-demand service is that you can print several copies of the same book or only one if one copy is all you need.

  Decide what anniversary you would like to write a photo book about. If it is for a wedding anniversary choose photos of your wedding and write about moments from the wedding ceremony. If the book is about a college graduation ceremony then get pictures of the graduation and write text about memorable times at college.

  Create a draft of the anniversary photo book by selecting the photos you want to include in the book and by writing a draft text to all photos using a word processing software. Make sure to include the names of each person in the photo in the caption.

  Register and account with Blurb or Lulu following the instructions on the individual websites of the publishers. These two publishers offer a print-on-demand service, which means you pay for each book you have printed plus postage and packaging.

  Install a book editing software, such as inDesign or Blurb's free editor, following the manufacturer's instructions.

  Create a new project in the book editor software by clicking on the "new project" button in the file menu. Give a title to your photo book.

  Import the text and the photos into the book editor software by clicking on the "import" button. Once you have imported all the images and text, finalize the layout of the photos, add captions and other text to the book.

  Save the document in PDF format and send the anniversary photo book to the publishing company to print. All you have to pay is a small fee per printed book plus postage and packaging.
