How to Search a Specific Borders Store

Borders is one of the biggest book stores in the United States. It features a large selection of reading material both online and in-store. The online website lets you search for books by category, title or author, and you can find out if a specific store close to you has the book you are looking for by searching the database. This saves you from driving to the store without knowing its selection.

Instructions

  Go to the Borders website. Use the link in the "Resource" section.

  Type in the name of the book you are looking for in the "Search" bar at the top of the page. Select "Books" from the drop-down menu. If you're not sure of the book's title, type in the author's name. Click "Search."

  Look for the edition of the book you want from the search results. Click "Check Store Inventory."

  Type in your ZIP code in the "Reserve at a Borders Near You" box on the right-hand side of the screen. Click "Go."

  Look for the Borders closest to you from the selection of stores. If the book is in stock it will say "Likely in Store." If the book is not in the store's inventory it will say "Out of Stock."
