East Lansing Public Library
The East Lansing Public Library hosts an International Book Club for adults. The club reads books that take place in or are written by authors from countries around the world. Books they have read so far are "Climbing the Mango Trees: A Memoir of Childhood in India" by Madhur Jaffrey and "Apples are From Kazakhstan" by Christopher Robbins. Besides discussions about the book, the club hosts speakers from these countries to discuss their culture and connections to the book. Participants in the club can access books from the library in e-book, audio or print form. The International Book Club does not run during the summer months.
