Sisters and Brothers of Hotlanta
Since 1997, the Sisters and Brothers of Hotlanta have been working to strengthen the bonds within the African-American community, its business owners and leaders. Specialized reading groups educate the community with a selection of written works that highlight items of cultural and historic significance to the club's members, which include men and women of all ages. Subgroups within the reading club are groups for children and teens.

Circle of Friends
The Circle of Friends book club was launched in Atlanta in 1997. The club's aim is to enrich reading power and knowledge as well as to encourage each other through fellowship. There are more than 60 members in the reading group and the numbers are still rising. The Circle of Friends has 11 chapters of the club spread out in nine states across America. The club is open to women who want to be a positive influence in the community. The group appeared on Oprah to celebrate Oprah's Book Club's First Year Anniversary Show. The members choose one book a month to read and get together on a monthly basis throughout the year to discuss books and enjoy games, fellowship and fun.

Literary Diversions
Literary Diversions is an Atlanta book club that was founded in 2002 by Debbie Bryant and Darcina Garrett. The book club strives to create a fun and friendly environment, where a variety of book genres can be explored in a friendly setting. The book club meets once per month to have an open discussion about the books that have been selected. These meetings also serve as a social platform for making new friends who have similar interests.
