Bistro Bookers
Under the direction of BLOOM (Book Lovers Of Our Metropolis), the Bistro Bookers Book Club was started in 1990. It began as an after hours downtown book discussion group formed to read provocative nonfiction books by local and national writers as well as fiction books written by Buffalo-area authors. This club is open to new members. The group meets in downtown locations, including Chef's Restaurant on Seneca Street. Book selections have included "The Survivors' Club: The Secrets and Science that Could Save Your Life" by Ben Sherwood and "Means of Ascent" by Max McCarthy.
