Anyone that has ever purchased a magazine subscription knows that as soon as the first issue arrives so do the invoices to renew. These requests scare many of us into renewing the subscription for many years in advance. With a few helpful hints you can be ahead of the game on the expiration dates of your favorite magazines.

  Write down on your calendar the purchase date of the magazine. Count ahead the number of months that the subscription will expire and write that down on your calendar as well.

  File all paid receipts in on manila file or envelope. Be sure to write down how and when the magazine is paid. By creating a location for these items, you will be organized and ready for those renewal notices.

  Pay for your magazine subscription by check. In your checkbook register, highlight the subscription payments. This will give you another source to refer to when you are thinking of renewing.

  Track your subscriptions online. There are companies that offer all of your favorite magazines. Having them in one location will be easy for you to log-on and see if it is time to renew. Also, each major magazine has a website that allows you to manage your subscription online. Check the specific magazine's website for renewal information. You can also make any necessary changes to your account.

  Ignore the renewal notices until your calendar says that it is time to renew. Still remember to renew promptly to avoid missing an issue. At this time you can also have the option to stop receiving the magazine.
