Things You'll Need
Instructions
Draw a simple five-petal flower that is 2 inches in diameter on a piece of paper. Make one copy of the flower you drew to save for future use. Cut out the flowers. These will be your templates.
Cut 10 2 ¼-inch squares from the tulle. Lay five squares directly on top of each other. Center and pin one cut-out flower template to the top of the stack of tulle squares. Cut the tulle out in the same shape as the flower. Repeat with the other five pieces of tulle. Cut 2 ½-inch circles of felt.
Lay one tulle flower down. Place another tulle flower centered on top of the first flower. Rotate the second flower slightly so the flower is centered but the petals are overlapping. Continue to do this until five tulle flowers are stacked. Place one felt circle centered on the back of the stacked tulle flowers. Pin the layers of flowers together to the felt circle. Repeat with the other five tulle flowers.
Thread your needle with embroidery floss and tie a knot on the end. Push the needle from the center back of the felt through one set of pinned flowers. Move the needle slightly then sew back through all the layers of the flowers and through the felt. Pull tightly then knot securely. Repeat with the other set of flowers.
Glue the back of the flower where the felt circle is to the flat part of the clip-on earring back. Lift the layers of the tulle to add volume to the flower. Repeat with the other flower.
