Instructions
Prepare the sleeves according to the pattern directions.Turn right side out.
Measure your wrist and add 1 inch. This will be the cuff width.
Cut two cuffs, 6 inches by the cuff width. Cut the cuff width across the stretchy or crosswise direction of the ribbing fabric.
Bring the two 6-inch sides of the cuff together with the right side of the fabric facing inward and stitch together with a narrow zigzag stitch. Stretch the fabric as you sew.
Fold the cuff edge in half with the seam on the inside. Lay it flat with the seam on one side and insert a pin on the opposite side. Fold the cuff in half, bringing the pin and seam together and insert pins on the opposite sides.
Divide the bottom of the sleeve into four sections, marking each with a pin. Slip the cuff over the bottom of the sleeve, bringing the edges together. Match up the seams, then join at each pin.
Pull the cuff and sleeve taut with your fingers until the ribbing is stretched to the width of the sleeve. Hold it stretched and place it over the sewing machine arm.
Sew a one-quarter inch, narrow zigzag seam around the edge, keeping it stretched as you sew. Back-tack the seam to secure it. Fold the cuff over to the right side.
