Instructions

    • 1

Lay your skinny jeans in front of you, with the tear or area to be patched facing upwards. Make sure your patch is of adequate size to cover the preferred area. Since you will sew the patch onto skinny jeans, choose a bendable patch that you can pull tightly without tearing the thread.

    • 2

Secure the patch to the skinny jeans, using sewing pins to set in place. Thread a sewing needle with thread of a matching color, doubling up before you knot the end to ensure a stronger bond between the patch and the skinny jeans.

    • 3

Reach the needle inside the skinny jeans until it is directly behind the patch. Pierce the patch and pull the needle to the outside, through the patch and until you pull the knot all the way. When you cannot pull the knot any further, push the needle back into the patch next to the original spot.

Continue to repeat until you have secured the entire perimeter of the patch to the skinny jeans. When you are finished, knot the free end and snip away any excess thread with a pair of scissors.
