Instructions

    • 1

Draw the pattern pieces according to specifications. Cut out the pattern pieces. Layout the pattern pieces onto your fabric.

    • 2

Fold the sides of the rectangle 1-1/2 inches all around, creating a hem. Iron the rectangle. Stitch along the newly folded hem 1/4 inches all around. Gather the waistband to the top of the apron.

    • 3

Cut two pieces of 26-inch long, 4-inch wide fabric to make the tie ends. Fold one piece of the fabric in half lengthwise with right sides together and iron. Stitch a 3/8- inch hem around the tie-end, leaving one of the shorter ends open. Turn the tie-end inside out and press. Repeat the same process for the second tie end. Stitch the tie-ends to the sides of the apron's waistband.

    • 4

Fold the edges of the pocket pattern piece under 3/8-inches. Edge stitch the top of the pockets and iron. Attach pockets to the front of the apron and top stitch along the sides of the pocket; leaving the top open for the hands.

    • 5

Feather stitch the boundaries of the waistband, apron skirt, ties and pockets for decorative effect. Chain stitch the waves on the tie-ends, across the waistband and pockets. Outline the flowers and leaves. Use French knot the center of the flowers.
