How to Make a Bean Chair

Bean bag chairs are fun for all ages. Bean bag chairs are not only easy to move and fit in spaces that regular chair cannot go, but they're inexpensive and a great way to use items you may already have in your house!

Things You'll Need

Bean bag beans or those Styrofoam peanuts
Spool of sturdy cloth that you'd want to sit on for long periods of time
Sewing Machine
Pencil
Measuring Tape
Scissors

Instructions

  First things first: figure out how large you want your bean bag to be. Typically you'll want one that is 3 feet in diameter and 3 feet long. Look for fabric that isn't elastic or too thin.

  Once you get all of those materials, you will want to measure a three foot diameter on your fabric and cut out two circles

  Use your sewing machine to sew the pieces together and then double stitch it to make it stronger.
  Make sure you leave about a foot of the circle open to stuff the beans inside

  Stuff the beans inside carefully but don't stuff it full, leave some room, stuff it about 75% full

  Once it's stuffed finish the sewing and close up the bean bag
  There you go! A cheap, sturdy and fun bean bag!
