Instructions

    • 1

Use pinking shears to cut 2 pieces of felt that measure 3 inches by 4 inches. Pinking shears give fabric a decorative edge and come in many different designs and sizes.

    • 2

Cut a piece of ribbon that is 6-inches long. Fold the ribbon in half and place it between the 2 pieces of felt centered in the middle of the top edge.

    • 3

Pin the side and top edges of the felt in place, wrong sides together, and sew them into place using a straight stitch.

    • 4

Stuff the pincushion with filling and sew the bottom edge closed.

    • 5

Decorate the pincushion by adding other finishing touches, such as buttons or hand-embroidered stitches.
