Building Your Mini Stock Race Car
Lay two 4-foot by 2-foot planks on their sides to form the sides of a box. Place two 2-foot by 2-foot planks on the inside corners of the ends of each larger plank to form the top and bottom of the box. Use a staple gun to fasten them into place. The planks should be no thicker than 1/2 inch.
Using the staple gun, attach another 4-foot by 2-foot plank to the bottom of your box to create a base.
Using the staple gun, attach a 2-foot by 2-foot plank to the top of the box on the side. If you've done the project correctly up to this point you should have a 4-foot by 2-foot by 2-foot box with a 2-foot by 2-foot opening on the top of the box.
Sand the edges of the box under they are smooth. Use spray paint or another kind of paint to decorate your box car with designs of your choice.
Attach the wheels with the brackets using a drill to screw them in on the bottom corners of your box. Each bracket will require 4 1-1/4 inch screws.
Allow the paint to dry for the length of time specified in the manufacturer's instructions. Take your car to a hilly area and use it to race down the hills.
