Things You'll Need
Instructions
Heat up the tire in an oven, tire box or out in the sun. Let the air out of the tire and remove the valve core. Set the core aside in a safe place for later use.
Lay the wheel so that the short side is facing upward. Put the wheel in the bead breaker and slide the tire off bead. Repeat on the other side.
Remove the tire from the wheel without using tire irons. Roll the top of the tire away from you, pushing the bottom tire bead over the rim. Work the tire of the rim by grabbing the extended bead. Turn the wheel over, hold the rim with your left hand and work the outer bead over the inner rim edge.
Warm the tire to make it easier to work with. Lube the outer area of the tire then push it onto the wheel. Turn the wheel over and repeat this on the opposite side.
Set the tire and wheel on the mounting ring. Secure the tire band to the tire.
Put the tire band on the floor. Position the openings so that they are left and right. Pump air into the tire until you hear two popping sounds. Release the pump and let the air out of the tire.
Reattach the valve core. Fill the tire with air.
