Things You'll Need
Instructions
Locate the land area where you want to build your track. If possible, get aerial photos of the topography to aid in your design.
Find an area with rolling hilltops, then sketch your track design on paper.
Walk the course according to your design. Spray paint a guide line you can use to help you follow your design.
Dig into the ground where your track will go, using the Bobcat digger. Soak the torn-up areas with water to help you to shape and contour the track.
Continue digging up the earth following your white guide line. You should dig approximately 4 to 6 inches deep in the ground when creating the track. Make your track as wide or narrow as you see fit.
Push several piles of dirt together at the bottom of a hill with the Bobcat. This will create a step-up -- a rise of dirt leading to another level of the course.
Cut the track at a slight angle to allow adequate drainage for rainfall.
