Instructions
Unscrew and separate the lampshade frame from the lamppost. Unscrew the light bulb from its socket. Cut a circular hole, using utility scissors, on top and at the bottom of a soccer ball; make the openings large enough to allow the lamppost and receptacle to slip through the soccer ball from top to bottom.
Mount the ball onto the lamppost by slipping the lamppost through the hole at the base of the soccer ball and out through the hole on top of the ball, until the ball touches the lamppost base. Slip a piece of rigid wire through the opening on top of the soccer ball, and push the wire around the interior walls of the ball to puff out or inflate the ball to its round shape. Continue puffing out the ball until the ball is completely round.
Attach the dispensing straw to the nozzle of the canned insulating foam. Insert the tip of the straw through the hole on top of the soccer ball. Dispense the spray foam and fill the soccer ball with just the right amount of insulating foam, ensuring you follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to apply the foam. Allow the foam to dry, then neatly cut away any excess foam, using a utility knife. Replace the light bulb to its receptacle, then screw the lampshade back to the lamppost.
