Instructions
Put on protective eyeglasses and wear a long-sleeve shirt and pants to help avoid injury. Make sure you also have a clear area around you to avoid hitting other people.
Hold the bullwhip by the handle with your thumb on top, extending forward.
Start with the whip extended straight behind you and your arm pointing straight down.
Bring your arm forward and up in a fluid motion, bending your elbow so it is pointing forward. You should move quickly enough so the bullwhip remains fully extended, but not so fast you lose control. Stop the motion when your hand is about even with your ear and wait for the tip of the bullwhip to go straight behind you. Practice this step until the whip moves in a fluid motion.
Extend your arm quickly forward so it ends up pointing straight ahead. The bullwhip should crack as it changes direction and moves forward.
