How to Learn the Coin Bite Trick

Parlor magic tricks fascinate everyone from small children to adults. Coin tricks, much like card tricks, are an excellent method of magic to learn for impressing friends and acquaintances as it is easy to keep some coins on you, as opposed to a larger, more intricate illusion. The magic quarter trick has a magician display a quarter to the audience, take a bite out of the quarter to show the strength of his teeth, then he returns the missing piece with the wave of a wand and a gust of breath.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the trick quarter in your hand between your thumb and index finger, with the folding section on top and positioned so the quarter folds down toward your thumb.

    • 2

Bring the quarter up to your mouth.

    • 3

Press the top half of the quarter against your bottom teeth, using the position of your hand and your mouth to hide the trick from view as it folds down.

    • 4

Grip the folded down section with your thumb.

    • 5

Remove the coin from your mouth. Show it to the audience.

    • 6

Blow on the coin, or perform a similar "magic" motion like waving your hand above it, and allow the folded section to escape your grip returning the coin to normal.
