The BMW R1200 GS has an engine that is referred to as a air-cooled boxer twin. What is notable about this engine design, according to Kevin Ash's March 2010 review of the motorcycle on the Daily Telegraph website, is the cylinder head design. Modeled after the high performance HP2 Sport, the four-stroke engine has four valves per cylinder.
Body
The R1200 GS motorcycle can come in four different colors, such as magma red (non-metallic), ostra grey (metallic mat), alpine white (non-metallic), as well as sapphire black metallic.
