ATV Events in Texas

Texas' vast area of dry lands and parks offers a variety of ATV grounds. In addition to all of the parks and trails, you can also enjoy ATV races, redneck games and freestyle events. Whether you are a young adult and want to enter a race, want to be in an adults-only environment or want to involve your family in a new hobby, Texas ATV events can satisfy your wishes.

TQRA
- The Texahoma Quad Racing Association sponsors a variety or races throughout Texas in Sherman, Fort Worth, Celeste, and Decatur. Go to txatvracing.com to find locations and dates for local races. Race opportunities and classes are available for all ages. Day races occur on Sundays, and night races are on Saturdays. To watch an event, the average entry fee for the 2010 season is $15 to $20 and camping is available for $10 per family. If you would like to compete in the race, plan on paying about $40 to sign up plus an additional $15 or $20 to practice.
Comeback to Karnack
- This family-oriented event takes place in Bivins, Texas. The ATV ride is available for all ages. Other events include a kids ATV obstacle course and kids mud pit cash scramble, both of which offer a $200 payout to the winner. To sign up, visit texasatvs.com. As of 2010, admission is $20 per person and $10 for each ATV. Children 7 and under enter free. No additional fee is required to enter any of the competitions, and a boiled crawfish meal is provided with paid entry. Parking and camping are also provided for free.
Monsters Unleashed
- This event at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth offers the best of several worlds. First, the ATV and Motocross freestyle will delight ATV enthusiasts with tricks such as "the Superman" and back flips. The Moore brothers, a pair from Texas who are part of the original Bomb Squad, helped create the sport of ATV freestyle and won a bronze medal in the 2010 Winter X Games have performed for this event. They often invent new tricks and have translated their ATV freestyle skills to snowmobiles, are known for pushing the limits of the sport, and have been featured on atvreaderonline.com. Monster trucks will also compete in races and complete stunts. A free pit party comes with your paid entry. Soggy Bottom ATV Ranch
- This ranch in Bryan has truck races every Saturday at 1 p.m. Additionally, during the Halloween time frame, you can participate in an ATV mud bog, a haunted trail competition where you decorate an area for a chance at a cash prize, and a haunted trail ride. Visit soggybottomatvranch.com.
