Confirm the camera setting does not result in an automated delay that seems like a problem. Switch the camera setting to off or auto position. Check to see the camera delay timer is not being used.
Turn the camera on/off button to the off position. Look at the digital symbol screen to make sure the camera turns off. Let it save any data it needs to before shutting down. Turn the camera back on. Look at the digital screen and confirm the camera has reset back to its default settings.
Locate the battery holder if the camera does not reset with the off/on method. Open the battery door. Release the battery lock. Remove the battery and count ten seconds. Reinsert the battery. Close the battery door. Turn the camera back on. Confirm via the digital screen it has reset itself.
Read the digital screen should the camera still not reset. Note the error message the screen displays. Refer to the camera manual for the definition of the error code provided on the screen.
Reset the camera computer settings by selecting the menu option. Look at the digital display. Toggle down until the option for default settings appear. Select it. Confirm the selection. Let the camera computer go through it's clearing and reset process. Turn the camera off when it is finished. Turn it back on after ten seconds and confirm the factory settings now function.
