Paw
The doggy handshake is a classic cute pet trick. Sitting down with your dog and encouraging it to raise its paw while saying "paw" or "high five," then rewarding it with a treat each time it completes the action, will have your dog doling out high fives on command in no time.
Spin
A puppy chasing its tail is a common sight, and teaching your dog to spin can bring smiles and laughs to your day. Getting your dog to chase a treat in circles while saying "spin" or "twirl," and eventually giving it the treat, is a simple way to get your dog to repeat the action on command.
Play Dead
Playing dead is a common farce used in cartoons and movies that you can also teach your dog. Pat your dog's belly until it rolls over, say "play dead!" and then give it a treat. Repeat this process until your dog rolls over and extend its legs on command.
Bow
Having your dog bow after performing other cute tricks is a good way to close out a session of play. You can either gently nudge your dog on the neck until it assumes the bowing position, or play with your dog until it naturally assumes the bowing position. Once your dog is bowing, say "bow" and give it a treat. After a few sessions, your dog should be able to bow for applause on command.
