The Asian Tiger mosquito is considered a noteworthy pest because it likes to associate with humans. It feeds and flies in the daytime as well as at dawn and dusk. This mosquito is also referred to as the forest day mosquito and is native to subtropical and tropical environments in Southwest Asia. This parasite has made its way to other countries as a result of vast internal travel and the shipment of goods from Asia throughout the world.
  1. Females and Males

This mosquito is notorious for biting during the day. They spend their days looking for a host both inside and outside of houses occupied by humans. They are more active when they are outside. These mosquitoes bite repeatedly because they need blood so their eggs can develop and because they bite diverse hosts. The bite has the potential of spreading pathogens such as West Nile Virus.

    Chikungunya

The males are capable of hearing the whine of the female. The males have hind legs that are 75 percent silver whereas the female hind legs aren't quite as silver.
