Fruit Pigeons
The Treronidae are also called fruit pigeons, because their diet consists only of berries, fruits, and nuts from trees. In fact, their characteristic short legs and grasping feet, almost never touch the ground. They reside in the tall trees of rainforests and are only found in the eastern hemisphere. All fruit eating pigeons have a yellowish and gray-green color. Some males are spotted with patches of yellow or purple.
