Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean out the rabbit's litter box regularly. As urine can easily build up in a litter box, it is important that it be cleaned thoroughly. Dump out the used litter and wipe the box clean before refilling it with a fresh batch of litter. Check around the litter box for accidental spills and wipe up any excess urine. Use warm water and a little white vinegar to clean the cage.
Purchase products from your local pet store specifically designed to repel a rabbit's odor. Some odor repellents can simply be added to the litter. Follow the directions on the product for application.
Brush and groom the rabbit if its fur is tangled or soiled. Do not give the rabbit a full emersion bath, as rabbits can easily catch cold when wet.
Neuter or spay your rabbit. This procedure aids in reducing the animal's smell, and ensures their continued health in other ways as well.
Visit your pet's veterinarian if the rabbit seems to defecate or urinate an extraordinary amount, or if the feces and urine have a consistently strong and foul odor.
